Whenever you want to create a text document with minimum formatting, WordPad seems like a good idea. That's because it offers simple features which can be used and understood by most computer users. But in case you want to create a document tree-system and organize all your documents in a specific way, WordPad will not help you, as it doesn't include any features for this purpose. The same goes for Microsoft Word, which, despite its complexity, still doesn't include features for organizing documents in a tree-view.

For this purpose, you can install and use the Maple Professional application, a specialized Windows program which allows you to create any kind of document and organize it in a tree system. In this way, you will be able to quickly find a desired information inside a large number of documents. After the program is installed and launched, the user will notice that its interface resembles the one of WordPad or MS Word, containing a large number of text formatting tools. On the left side of the interface, the user will see the tree system and will be able to easily organize documents. An unlimited number of documents can be organized in a tree-view.

While a document is being created, the user can easily navigate to the next, by using the tree-view navigation, without having to save the previous document. The classical drop down menu includes all the features and options you would expect from a text editor, but it also has some new ones, like an OEM to ANSI converter. After the documents have been created and the tree system has been defined, the user is able to save it in a wide range of formats, including a web tree, for easily publishing the tree-view on any website.

Pros

It allows you to create any kind of document, by using a large number of text formatting tools and supporting media elements. Besides that, users can simply define the tree view. Furthermore, finished documents can be saved in a wide range of file formats.

Cons

The number of supported formats for saving documents is a bit limited. Maple Professional allows you to create any kind of document with ease and organize it in a tree-like system.
